Well, Mode 1 corrects vibrations in all directions and it's mainly used for Stills.
Mode 2 might be best since it's mainly stabilizing vertical or horizontal motions.
Mode 3 is similar but only when you're taking the shot so I would stick with a mixture of Mode 1 & 2 for your video work.
