B&H has put together this Impact Studio LCD Monitor Support Kit to give image makers all they need to display video or tethered photo work on site. The kit includes a 10.75' C-stand with removable turtle base capable of supporting up to 22 lb. A monitor mount adapter with double ball joints, a ratcheting handle, and both 75 and 100mm VESA taps are included for flexible support of the monitor. A 15 lb saddlebag-style sandbag is provided to stabilize the setup.

Can I attach a 50 inch Sony flat screen TV to the mount supplied? How tall is the stand when extended?
The Impact Studio LCD Monitor Support Kit comes with a VESA mount. If the TV has that mount, it will attach to that. Note: The stand supports no more than 22 lb, and if your TV is say 20 lb or more, it is not recommended. The stand can go up to 10.75 feet.

The stand is plenty strong enough. You may have to sandbag it to keep it from tipping over, however.

I'm thinking of using this for a D&O light box, the 180W, and I need to tilt the box downward slightly more than its yoke allows. Does the top section of the stand tilt, or will I need a tilting connection or section?
The top riser of the stand does not tilt. To add this range of motion, you may place the Kupo EZ Grip Finger with Baby 5/8" Stud and Receiver, BH # KUKG300612 on the top of the C-stand:
