The aluminum-constructed 1241 Cold Shoe from SmallRig directly mounts to any camera accessory with 1/4"-20 or M2.5 threads so it can be used to mount your camera to rigs, brackets, and cages. You can adapt a microphone, video light, or other accessory to the mount, just follow the arrows at the top that show the direction to slide the accessory in. Will this hold a rode shotgun mic with the slide lock?
Heavier items may require using the two smaller screws so it doesn't have a chance of rotating but I've never had mine slip after attaching things designed to fit in this style of mount with the single larger screw.
