Ice ICE-ND6S-77 Overview

This Ice 77mm Solid Neutral Density Filter Kit contains ND4, ND8, ND16, ND32, ND64, and ND1000 filters that can be used individually or in various combinations to create a darkening of the entire image, allowing photographs to be made with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. Slowing the exposure time conveys movement by adding blur; while increasing the aperture allows greater control over depth of field. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

The included 77mm solid neutral density filters reduce the amount of light entering a lens by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 10 stops. Each filter is constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity. They are each mounted within a slim, aluminum alloy filter ring, which helps prevent vignetting while remaining durable and lightweight.

A nylon filter pouch is included to store and transport this filter kit. It features six padded, nonabrasive pockets plus a touch-tab fastening closure.

  • 0.6, 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, and 3.0 neutral density filters each darken the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required
  • Providing a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 10-stop exposure reduction, these filters allow you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily
  • These filters do not affect coloration of the image and are ideal for use with other filters
  • They are constructed from optical glass for clarity
  • Slim aluminum alloy filter rings help prevent vignetting while remaining durable and lightweight
  • Side knurling provides a more textured grip when mounting or removing filters from a lens
  • 77mm front filter threads allow each filter to be used with other filters
  • Filter pouch is provided for storage and transport

Ice ICE-ND6S-77 Reviews

Great price for the set

This is the first time I've purchased my own ND filter set, having previously used them when working for a production outfit that owned its own equipment, but so far I am happy with the filters, especially at the price point.

Great kit!

I am a natural light shooter and bright, cloudless days were always a problem. I sometimes got by with my polarizing filter but it really wasn't a great solution. Then I bought this kit and now I can shoot in bright sunlight with no problem. Of course this kit is not as convenient as turning my circular polarizer but the results are much better. I can now do long exposures in daylight. Photo is with a 6 stop filter.

Really good!

These hardly tint and solid built. The cost is also low for the quality it delivers. They are always used in every shoot I do. Excellent essential.

Good

My first set of ND filters, and I've only used them to fool around and get used to the idea. So far, they are easy to use, and come in a nice pouch. Have to solve the problem of how to carry them around in dusty Arizona - the pouch has netting, which is not enough, really. I've got to look for a proper pouch for these and the step up rings I bought at the same time.

Precise and optically correct

I previously purchased an "all in one" type of variable ND filter which proved to be unsuitable. These filters are even edge-to-edge and consistent in their density. The ability to combine them in a stack to make combinations depending on the light and exposure needs is outstanding. The threads are precise and accurate and they screw on and off easily.

Great Value - Excellent Filters

A really good value for the quality of the filters and glass. A very useful kit if you're in need of ND filters. Good construction and very clear glass with no noticeable distortion. Good color balance and no glare. Worth the money!

Great kit - No artifacts

These filters do a great job and do not produce strange artifacts like some of the all-in-one gradual filters. The only reason why I am not a 5 star is because their threads are a bit awkward and it takes a while to screw onto the lens.

Good value for the price

Comes with a functional pouch. Covers all the ND range I need. Good value for the price.

Do these prevent your lens hood from fitting? My variable ND obstructs the hood
Asked by: Kenneth
My Canon 24-70mm and 70-200mm lens hoods fit perfectly fine with the filters attached.
