Well suited to both general music listening and in-ear monitoring applications, the clear SE215 Pro Sound-Isolating Earphones from Shure offer remarkable sound quality in a lightweight and affordable package. Each earpiece offers a single high-definition dynamic MicroDriver engineered to deliver clear, natural audio with deep bass. The in-ear design effectively reduces ambient noise by as much as 37 dB, providing a detailed soundstage for a rich and lifelike listening experience.

The 64" detachable cable has formable wires that fit over the ears to stay out of the way, whether you're listening onstage or at home. The cable features MMCX earpiece connectors with a snap-lock mechanism that enables 360° rotation for a comfortable fit, while the standard 3.5mm connector provides wide compatibility with mobile devices, laptops, music players, IEM receivers, and more. A personalized fit kit with multiple types and sizes of eartips is included to ensure that you get the most comfortable fit and best sound isolation possible. A soft carrying case is included for transport and storage.

Shure EAC-IFB Coiled IFB Earphone Cable with Clip (Clear)

The Shure EAC-IFB is an accessory cable designed to connect a set of low-profile Sound Isolating earphones to any intercom system including the company's PSM personal monitor systems. The 46" cable is terminated with a 3.5mm, single-sided mono connector on one end and an MMCX micro-miniature coaxial connector on the other end. A coiled section provides on-air talent and production crew with a wide range of motion and tug-free comfort, even in the most demanding production environments.

I'm glad I found this earphones, unlike bulky headphones.. these are so discreet and the quality of sound is soo good. BnH shipped it immediately and great packaging. This awesome earphone makes my audio monitoring so flawless and accurate! Highly recommended!

Let’s begin with the important point regarding all IEM and headphones: for proper sound reproduction, the in ear monitors and headphones need to fit properly and more to the point, with regards to IEM, they need to make a good seal in the ear cavity. For me, the Shure SE215 absolutely do provide an excellent seal and thus I can speak to the audio quality. If someone is not able to achieve a good seal in their ear cavity with these IEM, or any other model or brand, then their evaluation of the sound really is irrelevant. This is simply step #1. Sadly, I am not quite sure how you can ever know if this is the case or not without simply giving a particular brand and model a try. The good news with this model is there are a lot of ear cup options, including the yellow foam accessory items that form a really great fit, just like the little foam ear plugs one might use on a loud factory floor. The yellow foam ear moulds do not ship with the SE215 and are something you need to source on your own. B&H does sell them. : ) Now for the sound quality: for me, these are producing a very well balanced reproduction of sound across the entire frequency range. If you are a bass player or drummer, you might find them a little weak in the lower frequencies. HOWEVER, most IEM amps / mixers have an easy method to apply some selective EQ to the incoming signal. If I were a bass player or drummer, I would still use these SE215 IEM and make sure the drum bus and/ or bass guitar channel have a little EQ bump added to emphasize what I want to hear a little more of. Easy. We are in a time period where there are a lot of great tools available to accomplish these tasks. Ultimately, if the SE215 can form a good seal to your ear cavity, I believe you will be very pleased with the sonic fidelity these IEM provide.

Is there a Shure brand extension cable for the SE215?

Shure does not offer an extension cable for the Shure SE215 Sound-Isolating Stereo Earphones, but you can use a standard 3.5mm TRS female to 3.5mm TRS male extension cable to extend the length of the Shure cable, such as the Hosa Technology Stereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Female Audio Cable - 10' (B&H # HOSMMSMF10). Additionally, there are Shure cables available in different lengths. The IFB cable is only available in 46" length and the cable that is included with the SE215 earphones is also 46" long, but there is an 64" cable available which is the Shure EAC64CL Earphone Cable with Gold-Plated MMCX Connectors - Clear, 64" (B&H # SHEAC64CL).

No, the Shure SE215 Pro Sound-Isolating Earphones are wired, not wireless headphones. The Shure AONIC 215 Gen 2 Bluetooth True Wireless In-Ear Headphones - Black (B&H # SHSE21DYBTW2) are the wireless version of the SE215.

Shure AONIC 215 Gen 2 Bluetooth True Wireless In-Ear Headphones (Black), BH #SHSE21DYBTW2, are the current true wireless Bluetooth version of the SE215 earphones. Also, you may consider swapping out the cable on this model with the Westone Full Resolution Bluetooth Cable, BH #WEBTCFRA, which will convert the headphones into Bluetooth earphones.

The specs written for the blue, black and clear ...

The specs written for the blue, black and clear earbuds are all slightly different. But is there really any difference between them aside from the color?

Actually, there is one crucial difference. The cable supplied with the blue and purple models is 18" shorter than the one that comes with the clear and black models. I bought the blue one not realizing that, and now I have to buy an extension cable to reach my mixer. Which of course won't fit in the pouch, thereby rendering the pouch useless. Can't imagine why Shure is doing this.
