The Cokin 48mm Extension Ring provides an increase in distance between the filter ring of a lens and a filter holder in order to accommodate retracting lens designs that are common on many zoom lenses. This ring is compatible with filter threads measuring 48mm in diameter and accepts filters, holders, or adapter rings that are also 48mm in diameter.
