  • 1Description

Protect your camera and lens with the medium-sized Emergency Rain Cover from Think Tank. This cover features a DWR coating and sealed seams for added protection against rain, sleet, snow, sand, and dust. Fold it down to fit into the included compact carrying pouch and keep it in your camera bag so you're prepared to quickly deploy it in a downpour or sand storm.

This cover will fit over a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8, or similar-sized lens. It has a non-slip, adjustable strap that cinches to the lens hood, so it stays put once in place. It can be used while shooting atop a tripod or monopod, has an oversized window for viewing your LCD and controls, and the shoe mount keeps it securely on your camera when in use. It has a cinchable sleeve through which you access your camera and dual viewing configurations for varying conditions.

Emergency Rain Cover (Medium) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sometimes You Have To Get Wet I do not do a lot of photography work in the rain, but there are times...….. I got this for those times! While I have not used it for the intended purpose yet, I have put it on my gear. Intuitive on installation, I like how well it fit. Tried it on both bodies with different lenses and it fit well. Coverage of the gear, even on a tripod, looks good.  I like the large clear panel for viewing the screen and seeing controls. I have tried others, but it looks like my search has ended. It is with my gear and ready to go when needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awkward but effective These arrived late week before last, and I had occasion to use it in a very rainy situation in Northwest Montana. The were easy to fit and get on. My only complaint is that on A D850 with a 300 mm lens, the fit was still a bit loose. A tiny bit awkward to use through the rear plastic and OVF.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Design and Quality I purchased the medium rain cover for an upcoming photo excursion that I expect will be rainy so I have not used it in the wild yet.  I set up my 5D mk IV with a 24-70 on my tripod and attached the rain cover.  I slipped the cover over my lens and attached it to the hot shoe then cinched down the Velcro strap around the lens hood.  Then I tightened the draw string some which I guess would be necessary in windy conditions.  I placed my hands up and onto the camera and I had plenty of room to operate the controls.  I purchased the medium so I could also use it with my 70-200 2.8.  I was hoping it was not going to be too bulky with my 24-70 or 16-35 and it is not a problem at all.  The cover folds down and is stored in the include pouch which is about 7” square. I own several Think Tank & Mind Shift items and the quality of this rain cover is excellent like all the other items I own.  I’m always impressed with Think Thank and Mind Shift’s attention to details and real world design and features.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Far... I haven't had a good chance to put it to the test yet. So far it's much easier to use than another one I had that was more expensive so I'm hoping it will perform better also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great For my Nikon D850 + 300mm PF or my 70-200 f2.8 I could have used the “Small”.  Even so it worked just fine.
