The MP-285C Carbon Fiber Monopod from Leofoto is a five-section camera support with a maximum height of 60.2". The 0.9 lb monopod is constructed with a 10-layer carbon fiber weave and designed to hold up to 33.1 lb. Featuring a comfortable foam grip and wrist strap for a secure grip, this monopod is capable of supporting cameras with large telephoto lenses. The rubber foot prevents it from sliding on smooth surfaces and is removable so you can replace it with a separately available steel claw, spike, or other accessory to get the best traction on any given terrain. When not in use, turn the ergonomic twist locks to collapse the support to 17" for easy transport and storage. The threaded mounting stud on the top of the monopod features a reversible 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw, making it universal for most cameras and lenses.

Bought this monopod after having tried a few other monopods over the years.(those were heavier & with larger ball heads) Mostly I needed a monopod I can pack in the field when hiking with minimum gear setup, so size/weight matters. Quality build. Have used it in the field a couple times since purchase & so far, so good.
