Extending the range of compatible lenses, the Canon Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R is a unique lens adapter designed for attaching any EF or EF-S-mount lens to the EOS R mirrorless digital camera. This sophisticated adapter incorporates a customizable Control Ring, the same as that on native RF-mount lenses, for intuitively adjusting exposure settings, such as ISO, aperture, and exposure compensation. This ring provides tactile feedback when being turned, making it easy to recognize and control your settings adjustments. It also retains full autofocus and image stabilization capabilities and contains no optical components, thereby maintaining the original optical quality of the mounted lens. Additionally, it is dust- and water-resistant, making it suitable for use in harsh weather conditions.

Canon 2972C002 Reviews
Natural transition to RF from EF camera bodies
I piled up the EF lenses (9) with some 5D2 then 5D4, so while the R52 body was pricey, I needed no lenses because of the adapter. And after a little research I bought the control ring and it is a dream. This is because I learned on film, with the aperture control on the lens, and that is what I have the ring set. Very natural in maual to roll the aperture with the left hand, shutter with the index finger, really a joy to use.
Nice and old-fashioned
New RF body. Several favorite EF lenses. What's the dream? Aperture priority WITH aperture set from the barrel. Like way back in the film days. Do a control-ring setting, and assemble the adapter on the lens, and that pairing onto the body. Now, bracketing the aperture for the flower shot is hand-on-the-big ring. Shooting pictures has become old-fashioned fun again.
