Extending the range of compatible lenses, the Canon Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R is a unique lens adapter designed for attaching any EF or EF-S-mount lens to the EOS R mirrorless digital camera. This sophisticated adapter incorporates a customizable Control Ring, the same as that on native RF-mount lenses, for intuitively adjusting exposure settings, such as ISO, aperture, and exposure compensation. This ring provides tactile feedback when being turned, making it easy to recognize and control your settings adjustments. It also retains full autofocus and image stabilization capabilities and contains no optical components, thereby maintaining the original optical quality of the mounted lens. Additionally, it is dust- and water-resistant, making it suitable for use in harsh weather conditions.

Canon 2972C002 Reviews
It does what it's supposed to do
There's really not much else to say other than it adds minor functionality to the mount adapter. I bought it on sale when it was essentially the same price as the Mount Adapter EF-EOS R, so having the functionality for the same price made it a great deal. Would I spend more for it to gain that functionality? Probably not.
Works Great
I’ve been using this product with a Canon R7 and two different Tamron EF-S lenses. They have both functioned perfectly just as they would if they had RF mounts. The control ring is worth the extra money IMHO as it gives you another way to adjust whatever you set it to adjust. I used it for the most part to adjust exposure, but I tried it with all the different adjustments you could set it for. They all worked perfectly. This is an easy way to save some money on glass. The EF and Ef-S mount lenses are readily available and much less expensive than the RF mount lenses.
