Have R6 MkII & tried to download files using a standard USBC to my computer (LR) but didnt connect. WIll only this cable work?

You cannot use the Canon IFC-100U Interface Cable (39.4") to update the firmware on the Canon EOS R3 Mirrorless Camera. Instead, open the file on your computer and then copy the .FIR file to a memory card you formatted on your camera. To do the installation, ensure the camera is fully charged and insert the card in the camera. Under the wrench group in the menu, locate the firmware option.
