The 1x1' Flex Cine Softbox Egg Crate Grid from Westcott is a 40° grid that helps contain light spill and narrow the beam angle for your Westcott Flex LED mats. It's designed to attach to Westcott 1x1' Scrim Jim Cine Frames or 1x1' Flex Cine Softboxes via integrated industrial-grade hook-and-loop strips. Made of heavy-duty nylon, unlike hard grids, this grid is collapsible and easily packs away into the included travel case for comfortable transport.

Would this fit inside a Chimera 1x1 softbox (BH# ...
Would this fit inside a Chimera 1x1 softbox (BH# CHGF501X1), or is it necessary to use only the eggcrate from Chimera?
The Westcott version measures 15" x 15" to accommodate the wider opening of the Flex softbox. If those dimensions match and the Chimera has loop fabric(soft side) of the hook and loop/velcro style attachment fabric at the front of the box. Then the grid should work as designed.
