Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 22L Overview

The black Kiboko 2.0 22L Backpack from Gura Gear is designed to keep your mobile photo studio organized as you comfortably and securely carry it to your next destination. Its dual side-by-side camera compartments can each be dedicated to separate camera kits and their accessories using the backpack's adjustable partitions. While either camera compartment can be dedicated toward two DSLRs (or two mirrorless cameras with grips attached), five to six lenses and a shoe mount flash, the other can then be used to hold two DSLRs with attached lenses, including a wide-angle lens and a 300mm f/2.8 lens.

A pair of side-by-side, front-facing zippered panels which fold open toward the center of the backpack provide individual access to the camera compartments. Together, a zippered mesh organizer pocket along the inside of each panel creates space for hard drives, portable batteries, camera filters, or small electronics within the camera compartments. Each panel also features an outer flap that can be unzipped and opened toward the center of the backpack, even when the panels remain closed, revealing two additional organizer pockets for items that need be accessed quickly and conveniently without exposing the contents of the camera compartments.

The Kiboko 2.0 22L Backpack can be carried using its built-in top handle, or by its adjustable, padded shoulder straps as the resilient and breathable 3D mesh padding along the outside rear surface cushions the wearer's back and shoulders. The padding's elevated structure optimizes air circulation, minimizing perspiration in warm and hot environments. For heavy loads, this backpack's adjustable sternum strap and waist belt can be used to more evenly distribute the weight being carried. When the Kiboko 2.0 22L Backpack is worn, a dedicated compartment for a 15" laptop computer rests directly behind the shoulders, while along both sides of the backpack are two large, stretchable pockets with side-compression straps that can each hold and secure a water bottle. Alternatively, the pockets can be used to hold a tripod, monopod, or trekking pole; each can be further secured using the side-compression strap located above the pocket.

Constructed with VX-21, nylon and polyester material that is both durable and lightweight, the Kiboko 2.0 22L Backpack is built to be weather resistant and includes a seamless cover for use under heavy rain.

Will the Gura 22l hold a Sigma 150-600mm on one side?
Asked by: Philip
I just tried it with my Canon 500mm f/4 v2 with a Canon 1.4x extender and it works, although tight. You can't pack the metal lens shade though. It either has to be packed in your luggage or use a LensCoat or Aquatech lens shade which is soft and can be used.

Will the case accommodate a Canon 500/4 lens?
Asked by: Frank
I pack the 500/4 version 1 by itself or with a teleconverter on one side. The only way to make that happen is to leave the hood home, pack it into a checked bag or replace it with something like an Aquatech hood that stores flat. On the other side of the bag, I've packed a 7D2 with drive, 5D4 with drive, 16-35/4, 24-105/4, 100-400/v2 and the 1.4x and 2x teleconverters stacked together by using an extension tube. I'm able to shoot from 16mm-1600mm with that set up which will fit under the seat or in the overhead bin of most airlines. In order to save space in the bag, I only pack two 77mm folding rubber lens hoods that will fit each of the lenses I mentioned. Hope this helps.

Is there anyway to a pro-size body (1dx) with lens attached, even the body on its side? Does the top have any flexibility?
Asked by: Syed
This has been a challenge. I really like this bag but it is difficult to store a camera in the bag with the lens attached, especially for a longer lens or zoom lens. I have been storing my lenses in this bag but may suggest looking for a different style if you need a body and lens stored together for quick retrieval.

Depends on what gear you want to put on this backpack , if you only have a camera and one lens it is to big , but if you have more items (camera lenses ) you might need it
