So much better than the ol’ “use a sweatband” thing for viewfinders. You still have the cup, but now it’s cushioned and your own! Absolutely recommend!
Great Eyepiece protector for people with glasses

This is the eye cushion that professional video and film cameramen use. They use it to protect their eyes and reduce smudged glasses from the rubber eyecup of the camera. I operate a handheld TV camera and the rubber eyecup of the viewfinder smudges my glasses a lot making it hard to see and focus the camera. I found the Ultrasuede eyepiece cover to help a lot. I can comfortably wear my glasses when using the viewfinder. The ultrasuede material reduces the smudging of my glasses. It is soft and comfortable. I contacted the company and they told me that the Ultrasuede version is better for glasses than the chamois version. It fits around the rubber eyecup and is fairly easy to put on with a little fiddling around with. It says they can be replaced frequently. I hope to use my a lot before replacing it. I don't know if it is washable. I will give it a try when needed. To install the Bluestar Oval Large Viewfinder Eyecushion you just stretch the back portion of the eyecushion over the rubber eyecup of the viewfinder. It stretches easily. Place the large part of the rubber eyecup inside the larger offset piece of the Bluestar Eyecusion. They feed the opening around the rubber eyecup. This takes a little fussing. Just make sure it is completely on the rubber eyecup. It will stay on better this way. The Oval Large version is what the company said was the correct size for a full broadcast TV camera eyepiece. It seemed small for the viewfinder, but stretched to fit very well. It is larger than it looks. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I even purchased another one for my other camera.

The Bluestar Oval Large Viewfinder Eyecushion (Ultrasuede, Black) would work with the Sony FX9. Bluestar says to use the Oval Large; or Oval Small. Both will work; but some operators say the Oval Small is a bit tight.
