Sonnet Allegro Pro Reviews
Solved More than One Issue
I originally did not want to spend the money for this card and instead opted for an external USB hub. What a mistake. The external hub created nothing but havoc. It completely messed up my wifi due to interference and, of less importance, created an ugly pile of wires. I sent it back and bought this card. It's perfect. No more wifi interference and a much cleaner desktop. It was super easy to install too! Win-Win-WIn!
it does work under Linux
When I installed the card and connected 4 6TB drives to it, the card would not work. It was not easy finding the secret sauce to enable it; but the answer was eventually discovered in a FAQ at: http://www.sonnettech.com/support/kb/kb.php?cat=546&expand=_a2&action=b1149#b1149 Add Linux boot parameter: pci=disable_acs_redir=pci:12D8:2308
