    Balancing a versatile wide-angle field of view with advanced perspective and focus control, the TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II is a Canon L-series tilt-shift lens well-suited to architecture, interior, and landscape photography. Up to +/- 8.5° of tilt is possible, for focus control, and +/- 12mm of shift, to adjust perspective and composition. The tilt-shift mechanism can be rotated +/- 90° for applying movements in any direction, and a tilt-locking mechanism can be used while shooting for greater stability.

    Complementing the operation of the lens, this L-series prime is also distinguished by its optical design that features four of Ultra-Low Dispersion elements to significantly reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations as well as one aspherical element to minimize spherical aberrations and distortion. Individual elements also feature a Subwavelength Coating to suppress flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color neutrality.

    Perspective control, tilt-shift lens affords +/- 12mm of shift and +/- 8.5° of tilt, and both types of movements can be applied independently, and parallel or perpendicular to one another. Additionally, the tilt and shift functions can be rotated +/- 90° for applying the movements in distinct directions.
    Tilt-locking mechanism ensures the lens stays in place while shooting.
    Four Ultra-Low Dispersion elements are used to greatly reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to achieve greater clarity and color accuracy.
    One aspherical element limits distortion and spherical aberrations to realize greater sharpness and accurate rendering.
    A Sub Wavelength Coating has been applied to individual elements to control lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
    As a member of the esteemed L-series, this lens is sealed against dust and moisture for working in inclement environmental conditions.
    Rounded eight-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing out of focus quality that benefits the use of shallow depth of field techniques.

  • Luminesque 82mm Circular Polarizer and UV Slim PRO Filter Kit

    Combining two of the most useful filters available, Luminesque's 82mm Circular Polarizer and UV Slim PRO Filter Kit is well-suited to all forms of photography. Both filters are constructed from Schott optical glass and feature a 12-layer multi-coating for maintained clarity and image quality. Each filter is also set in an anodized aluminum filter ring, with the UV filter featuring a slim 3.4mm-thick profile to lessen the likelihood of vignetting with wide-angle lenses.

    The UV filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. It is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times in order to reduce dust and moisture from reaching the front lens element and to provide additional protection in case of accidental impacts. Its 12-layer multi-coating also helps to achieve 98.2% light transmission for faithful color reproduction and contrast.

    The circular polarizer filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and auto exposure functions.

  • ZEISS Lens Cleaning Kit

    This Lens Cleaning Kit from ZEISS is a complete solution for cleaning valuable optics such as camera lenses, eyeglasses, telescopes, or spotting scopes.

    Both wet and dry cleaning tools are provided. For blowing dust off an optical surface, the air blaster can be used, while the retractable lipstick-style cleaning brush can dislodge more stubborn dirt or dust particles.

    When a thorough wet cleaning is required, a 1 oz bottle of cleaning fluid or ten, individually-wrapped pre-moistened lens wipes are available. Designed for single use, these wipes come in individual, disposable packets. They can be stored in a camera bag, glove compartment, studio, or lens case for whenever they may be needed.

    The non-abrasive, 7.1 x 7.1" microfiber cloth can be used after applying fluid or one of the pre-moistened wipes in order to complete the cleaning process and ensure that no streaks or spots remain. It can also be used on its own to effectively remove smudges.

    A fabric travel case is also included to hold the contents of the entire kit.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than Hoped For OK, this lens is expensive. But the optics are incredible, and there is simply no substitute for tilt/shift capability. f/3.5 has been fast enough to use indoors without flash. You really do have to use a tripod, though, especially when using the tilt functionality. I'm glad I read the user manual, as the tip of zooming in with the camera's live view function to help manual focusing was really helpful. The truly round aperture gives a very nice bokeh. Like all L glass, mechanically the lens is a rock solid beast. I've also used the tilt functionality at macro distances to great effect. The creative potential with this lens is enormous.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shooting Architecture w/this is a joy! Careful use of camera & lens controls is a must to get the best out of this lens. Working with 24mm T/S II lens eliminates the need to set camera height just to keep vertical lines strait.This lens is a must have if you shoot architecture. IQ is a big upgrade from the 24mm T/S I. Corners are finally sharp again and minimal distortion! Great flair control and no Chromatic aberration! You can get accurate AF confirm light if you adjust the Micro Adjust setting on the 5D mk2. Good lighting and focusing technique will produce outstanding professional results with this lens. Please Canon make a 35mm version!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from get to the higher planes I was first a bit skeptical, but after being out in the field and getting used to the endless possibilities of tilting and shifting the focus plane I can't do without it. Landscape and architecture get a new meaning, but also portraits/wedding can get that nice addition if you use the TS intelligently. Perfectly sharp (sharper than the corresponding prime, IMHO) the superiority is easily visible on my 5D mkii. Not having an auto focus (no, I am not complaining), I would suggest also to add a manual diaphragm control for quicker control.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon's best 24mm lens, + movements Even before going into the tilt shift aspect, this lens just as a fixed 24mm is a joy to use. Manual focus is buttery smooth, and focusing through live view on a 5d II is an experience unto itself. The movements are extremely versatile, both using downward tilt for added DoF for landscapes (while still being able to keep the aperture below a number that starts being affected by diffraction) and shift for both miniatures and for fixing keystoning. The movements come at a small price: no weather sealing. I think the extra versatility makes up for it. The build quality is outstanding. Usual Canon L-ness.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Horrible locking knobs! I've had this lens for several years now, and use it quite frequently for landscape work. The ability to stop down and get great depth of filed with the tilt function is invaluable. This is a very sharp lens. Perspective control is awesome although you will still get some distortion at 24 mm, there is just no way around it. My only gripe is that the locking knobs for the tilt and shift are cheap plastic and are horrible--they have jammed on me at least a dozen times. I have had to use a wrench to loosen them up, and finally I got frustrated and took a pair of pliers to the knob--stripping it and now requiring repair by Canon. Very annoying--they should rethink that design feature.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from great optics, poor mechanics The optics on this lens are superb. Sharp and surprisingly little distortion (although both suffer a little at the corners when tilted). Much sharper than any other 24mm I have used and substantially better than the 16-35mm L and 24-105mm L lenses at 24mm. However, beware that the screws on the tilt-shift knobs are prone to working loose and falling off. This is a serious annoyance, and Canon will not replace these screws and knobs for free. Their replacements cost a fortune, and they are unwilling to let you use the screw driver yourself (voids the warranty) ...

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easier to use than you may think I debated buying this lens for a long time, putting off the purchase three different times. What was holding me back, besides the expense, was worry that the learning curve would be steep and I wouldn't get the most out of this remarkable lens. Turns out it's not nearly as difficult to use as some photographers make out. True it takes practice to learn which knobs to turn for which purpose, but I started getting the hang of it fairly quickly. The tilt/shift is definitely for photographers who take their time over their shots, who enjoy the process as much as the result. I would not recommend this manual focus lens unless your camera has live view.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Lens This is one amazing lens. Sharp from edge to edge even when shooting wide open. No noticeable light fall off at any aperture. When focused properly the image quality is indescribably sharp. I had never used a t-s lens before, so if you're new to this type of lens, it will take a bit of practice, but it will be so worth it. I use this on a 5d-II and 1ds-III. I have been able to focus quite accurately on near subjects while doing hand held, but anything at a longer distance will require the use of a tripod and live view with a wide angle lens such as this one. I couldn't be happier with this lens. Highly recommended
