This will physically link to newer lumix hybrid cameras like the s5m2 and s1m2. But your camera won't be able to recognize the adapter through it. I don't think our friendly "B&H community member" has actually tried to turn on the xlr setting on his camera via this cable. If you need phantom power on a lumix hybrid and the hotshoe isn't available, just use an external recorder. Anyway, 3 stars cause the pins on the hotshoe catch the adapter when removing it, not cause of the misconceptions.

I was excited to try and use this! The pictures are very deceptive and the cable really isn't that long. The quality of the product is fairly cheap as well....Darn it. It's a Fail.

The hot shoe on the Panasonic Lumix DC-S1H Mirrorless Digital Camera is the same as Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera. You can use the same LanParte Cable Adapter for Panasonic DMW-XLR1 Microphone Adapter.
