Nitecore UMS4 Overview

The UMS4 Intelligent USB Four-Slot Superb Battery Charger from Nitecore is compatible with select Li-ion, IMR, LiFePO4, NiMH and NiCd batteries. This charger accepts multiple power sources that plug directly into the USB-C port. Batteries can be charged simultaneously or independently, and the charger can reach a maximum 4000mAh of output power.

During the charging process, the LCD will monitor battery health and display battery status, charged volume, battery temperature, and battery level. Batteries with circuit protection activate the intelligent charging management system, apply correct charging currents, prevent overcharging, protect against reverse polarity, and provide anti-short circuit protection. The charger is constructed from durable and fire-retardant PC and ABS materials.

Being able to see the status of each battery is a huge help. Much better than the charger I originally had.

Bad assembly on 2 out of 3 products

The LCD screen of the first charger was poorly assembled where the fasteners were melted plastic instead of screws. I was able to fix it myself. The second charger had problems with poorly made welds and again I was able to make the necessary repairs. As for the third charger, without even having put batteries, it indicates an EEEE message. Poor manufacturing quality. This brand is definitely to be avoided.
