I'd picked up a used Schneider Kreuznach 50mm ƒ2 lens in Exakta mount, and needed an adapter for Leica M. The lens would not mount fully (possibly the anti-counterclockwise screw in the EXA mount, added in later EXA lenses — removing that screw may have resolved it, but I didn't know that at the time). But, since the Leica M mount was fine, I was able to hold the lens in place for a few (LiveView) test shots. Didn't keep the lens (too many scratches), but glad I could try it via this adapter.
