Will the fuji 2-X extender function with the Fuji 80mm Macro??
Asked by: Robert
Directly from the Fujifilm website: "The lens offers compatibility with the 1.4x Teleconverter (XF1.4X TC WR) and 2.0x Teleconverter (XF2X TC WR), so it can be used as telephoto macro lens" So yes you can use the 2X extender with the Fuji 80mm Macro.

I just bought one of this lens (80mm macro). When I move it up and down something moves up and down inside. But when it focuses it stops moving. Anyone else that bought this lens have the same experience?
Asked by: John
Yes the sound/thing that is moving around is the stabilization system in the camera. As soon as you press down the button which starts the focusing and metering, that's when it will engage the stabilization system. That is why is stops moving when you press to focus it.

I'm currently practicing macro with a short macro tube on the Fuji 18-55mm on an X-T20. I feel like I have to do a lot of stacking with the macro tube to get enough of the picture on focus. If I switched to this lens, would there be any noticeable difference in depth of field?
Asked by: Matt
Macro lenses have shallow DOF by nature and require focus stacking as well, but the optical quality will be superior to the setup you are using now.

I have the Fujifilm 60mm macro lens. What is the advantage of the Fujifilm 80mm over the 60mm?
Asked by: Kathryn
The FUJIFILM XF 80mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro is a better lens optically than the Fuji 60mm macro lens--sharper and with better contrast. The 80mm lens is also a true macro lens, focusing to a 1:1 magnification ratio; the 60mm lens focuses only to a 1:2 magnification ratio.
