The ET-2204 Travel Carbon Fiber Tripod from Sirui is a 4-section support with a flip leg lock system that you can disengage to give you the ability to extend the legs along with the standard rapid center column to a maximum height of 57.1". With its three variable leg angles and independent leg spread, the tripod's legs can conform to uneven terrain; splaying the tripod's legs out and switching the standard center column to the included short column, the support can go to a minimum height of 5.3". The legs fold in the reverse to a compact 16.9" to travel with the tripod, and the rubber feet on the legs prevent the tripod from sliding on smooth and flat surfaces. In addition, the feet retract back to reveal metal spikes to further stabilize the support on softer terrain.

Sirui ET 2204 Reviews
Perfect for travel
I have a big heavers duty tripod that is a real pain for walking around with in the city or hiking and wanted something very light yet sturdy. I decided to try this tripod out and I am glad i did, excellent quality and surprisingly sturdy for what I do. Easy to mount on my hiking backpack, you don't even notice it's there making hiking much easier yet still have a tripod if needed.
Sturdy but light
I use this with my Swarovski spotting scope and Panasonic S1H combo. Nice and light for field work but plenty sturdy to handle the weight. The leg clamps are nicely streamlined to prevent snagging during transport. And the set screws to lock the head in place work great for securing the gimble head. The travel bag will be a nice bonus for some. Highly recommended for light to heavy field work.
