Angler Jumbo Umbrella Diffuser Cover (White, 60-65")
Shown in use, Umbrella not included
Key Features
  • Fits 60-65" Umbrellas
  • Turns Umbrella into a Softbox
  • Soft, Flattering Quality of Light
  • Reduces Approx.1 Stop
Instantly turn your 60-65" umbrella into a softbox with the White Umbrella Diffuser Cover from Angler. Often simplicity is the best way to go and Angler makes it a snap to achieve soft, flattering lighting with a fraction of the effort it takes to set up a softbox. Just slip the elastic-edged diffuser over the open end of the umbrella, eliminate spill light with a draw string around the flash head, and you're done. The diffuser reduces light by only about 1 stop, but that's a very small price to pay for a soft, enhancing quality of light with moderate contrast and a warm, wraparound look.

Is anyone using this successfully with a 60" umbrella, and if so which brand? One review says too big for a 60", but as the "real" diameter of the umbrella opening varies between manufacturers, it would be great to know which ones it does/doesn't work with!
Asked by: Christie
It fits most 60-65" umbrellas. In some cases a c-47 can be helpful.

Asked by: Andrew
Yes, the Angler Small Umbrella Diffuser Cover (White, 33-36") has an elastic band that would allow you to cover umbrellas with 30'' front diameter such as the Photoflex Convertible Umbrella - White Satin with Removable Black Cover - 30".

The opening/drawstring looks different from the Westcott 43" diffuser in that the Westcott one is taut but the Angler one has a rim around the opening. Does it matter?
Asked by: bh
No, it does not matter. The diffusers are manufactured by different manufacturers and have slightly different designs, but both would be one-stop diffusers that are designed to diffuse the light emitted by the umbrella.
