Profoto Connect Reviews

Solid

Profoto lights are awesome, but the transmitters have aways been overpriced junk compared to every other competitor. This one isn't the most feature rich, but it's reasonably priced, is nice and small, and in my experience performs more reliably than the larger Air TTL remotes that are really just trash.

Buyer beware!

I picked this up after my pro air trigger randomly stopped working 9 months in. I spent months trying to contact profoto but was never able to speak or even email a human. I filled out there form and even sent the unit in but it was sent back in the same condition with not note or anything. I figured I’d buy this while I’m dealing with the other one but I’ve never in my life experienced such terrible customer support as you’ll get from profoto.

This remote is designed for simplicity. No buttons or settings to fiddle with. Only one group to control automatically. The AirTTL is more capable and full featured.

If I only want to use this in Auto, do I still need an iphone 7 or greater? Can I update the connect w/o the iphone App?
Asked by: rhonda
If you don't want to change settings using the app, the transmitter will be set to channel one, group A. You can still change strobe settings on the strobe itself. You'll need the app to update the firmware.
