I loved the first Rapid Box Switch Octa that came out. I used it a lot of on-site jobs. After about 4 years of use the metal rods started coming through the removable front diffuser. Recently I purchased a new Rapid Box Switch Octa, and I love the way they designed a cover over the rods. So when you put the diffuser on the Octa, there is a cover over the rod tips, So the rod tips don't break through the front diffuser. I have to give this a 5 and a 1/2 stars. Thank you, Westcott, for the clever design. And thank you being an age for super fast delivery. As always :)

In all honesty the only upset I have is that there is a universal speedlight insert that they also sell, but since I strictly use the FJ80's it was still a good purchase. Beautiful system, easy to transport, opens fast and is durable, and a amazing EDU deal for a 48 inch? I love it for outside and indoors, upgrading to a 7 footer soon.

A simpler and more cost effective way would be to get this bracket (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1513261-REG/godox_s2_bracket_with_bowens.html) and it will attach directly to the Octa-L with Bowens Mount (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1466676-REG/westcott_2523_2530_rapid_box_switch_octa_l.html)

Can I use it with Apature 300D and Paul C. Buff Einstein lights? Do I need additional mount?
The Rapid Box light modifiers do not come with mounts. So, for your Buff lighting, which I think uses a Bowens mount, you would need to order the mount from Westcott. Not sure about the Apature 300D.

If I want to use this with an ad600 or 400, do I need to buy anything extra or it’ll go with the original order
I am fairly certain that the 400 watt light will be fine. But the manufacturer has power limits depending on the size of the light shaper, so it’s best to check with the manufacturer. I have the. Godox 600 and it is fantastic.
