A great piece for an AC monitor/cage kit with a QR, for a follow focus fiz unit (it allows full movement for ergonomics most AC's miss out on!) and of course for any other rigging where micro adjustment AND solid strength of rigging is required.

Can the 1/4" thread be replaced with a 3/8" thread? I prefer to not use an adapter.
Unfortunately, we do not have a super grip finger option that has a built-in 3/8"-16 male screw. As an alternative, I would recommend purchasing the Impact Heavy-Duty Swivel Pin, B&H # IMSRP118, and the Kupo Baby Ball Head Adapter, B&H # KUKG014212, as an alternative for your usage needs.

Would two of these be secure enough to hold a slider on stands? Thinking they might allow different stand heights, for slider to be inclined. Regular Kupo ball head adapters would need to both be level. Not sure if these would cause instability or want to flop over to one side or other because of weight.
