Is it compatible with the Canon 5D Mark III? And with the Godox MS300?
Asked by: Marlene
There are two parts to your question. Part 1) I have two of these triggers, and they work just fine with my 5 D Mk.III. As a matter of fact, if they have the latest firmware, they work with all my Canon cameras, including the SL 3, which does not have a center contact in the hotshoe! Part 2) I don't have an MS 300, so I am not too familiar with them. I do, however, have some other Godox flashes that may be similar in operation. First, it is a basic manual flash, no TTL, no HSS, no nothing! All you can do is to remotely control the power output with the trigger. The trigger has only the usual five Canon A-E groups while the flash additionally has groups F and 0-9 for a total of 16 groups. So, in conclusion, yes it will work with the MS 300 as long as you are aware of its limitations.

If you want a flash shoe get the X2. It is a very capable unit. I have used it for many months very successfully. I don’t use the flash shoe very often but it has come in handy on a couple of occasions
