What Manfrotto tripod bag comes in the box?
What Manfrotto tripod bag comes in the box?
The bag is TERRIBLE. It is too small to fit the tripod, and the zipper is garbage. After about a year of use the zipper is blown out. The bag is now garbage. Shame on Manfrotto for cheaping out on the zipper to save a few cents

How durable are the twist locks when using in harsh conditions like rain, sand, mud etc?? I'm sure if sand enters the lock mechanism, it would be difficult to clean thereby creating a sandpaper effect internally.
This head is great in terms of performance size and weight but it is difficult to recommend in the situations that you described. The design has more components exposed to the elements than other heads (such as the 504X). This means it will require more maintenance and is more susceptible to getting sand and other debris in the mechanics.
There is a lot that you can do to maintain it if you choose to go with this tripod (we also sell a lot of replacement parts for this tripod if necessary) however there are limits to how deep you can clean it without being a Manfrotto technician.
I recommend considering one of the other Manfrotto models that does not expose as many elements

Is the 75 mm ball adapter mounted within the 100 ...
Is the 75 mm ball adapter mounted within the 100 mm ball assembly? Great Tripod.
I took it apart and found the 75 mm adapter was installed with 3 Allen head screws. I removed it because the 608 head is intended for the 100 mm ball, which is what is supposed to be the one included. It is difficult to determine, but it seems like a better fit. I didn't look for a part number on the ball, an after thought, it's probably marked. Jeff. Thanks.

No one seems to be answering this confidently. Is the half ball a 75mm or a 100mm? It comes mounted to the 75mm adapter. Taking it off the ball seems to swim in the open space. On the 75mm adapter it seems to not fit well. Which is it?
The heads are all flat base with threaded mounts. These units ship with a 75mm half ball. The tripod supports a 75 or 100mm ball.

Does this use the same illuminated bubble level that the 504x has?
I find the 504x's light to be completely useless.
The bubble level design on both the Manfrotto 504x and Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech Fluid Head are very similar.
