This 4.7"-long Standard Camera Plate from Miller is designed to fit AIR, DS10, DS20, Compass, CompassX fluid heads. The sliding quick release plate features approximately 2.4" of travel.
The durable aluminum plate includes both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera mounting screws, and the top of the plate features two rubber strips that help protect your camera from scuffing while preventing it from rotating.

As a tripod plate, it does its job of holding when tightened down. The problem is it isn't compatible with the stops built into the head. The forward stop on my older DS20 had to be removed, and the rear stop that's connected to the safety latch never fully closes with the plate in place. As long as the tightening knob is fully engaged, it won't budge, but there's no safety catch in place on either end, so the camera could slide out and fall if it's not locked off. For a plate as expensive as this, it's kind of a rip off, but there aren't any 3rd party options, so you're stuck buying this one. I'm guessing the design of the new DS20 has changed from the original, and that's why there's a compatibility issue. It's a shame they don't make the original plate anymore.
Lost the original plate, had to order a replacement, this is the plate, works just like the original. Thank G*d
