The Transvideo Rainbow HD 7 SBL from ARRI is a super-bright, high-contrast onboard monitor perfect for use outdoors or with a stabilizer. Supporting video resolutions up to 1080p60, it incorporates two 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs, one HDMI input, and one composite input. Video is output via one 3G/HD/SD-SDI port, one reclocked HD/SD-SDI port, and one composite loop-through output. Features include an AMLCD (active-matrix LCD/TFT) display with a 1024 x 576 display zone, advanced image controls, both timecode and tally displays, and a variety of power options.
Image controls include focus peaking and focus assist, waveform, vectorscope, and histogram displays, selectable aspect ratios and adjustable markers, and two-channel audio monitoring via a 3.5mm output. For quicker, easier use, Transvideo groups the Rainbow HD 7 SBL's imaging tools and functions into job-specific views like Operator, DIT, and Waveform. Each view displays specific joystick and button-controlled tools that can be further customized by the user.
Especially handy for gimbal and stabilizer use, this monitor's AvengerLeveler feature is driven by the built-in sensor or a Betz-Tools external horizon. It provides onscreen displays of both horizon and level. Power the Rainbow HD 7 SBL via its 10-36 VDC 4-pin XLR input, a separately available AC adapter, or using a Gold or V-mount battery and a separately available battery plate.
