Inovativ Voyager 36 Evo Overview

The Voyager 36 Evo Cart with X-Top and 10" Premium Tires from Inovativ is useful for transporting your cinema or other types of equipment in the studio or on location. No tools are required and the adjustable shelves are self-locking so you can build and break down the cart with ease. The top shelf, which is keyboard friendly, is height adjustable up to 10" in 2" increments and the cart collapses to a 8.25" travel case. When collapsed and locked via the spring-loaded latches it is portable and stores easily.

Removing a pin from the front wheels allows them to swivel and enables the cart to roll quietly and easily. The rear wheels have manual locking brakes for when you want the cart to remain stationary. The shelves are powder coated and the uprights and machined parts are type II and III anodized. The rest of the cart is constructed with 5052 and 6061 aluminum.

Rolls like a dream, protects items from falling off shelf

I've gone through various carts during my production career in NYC, always holding out from getting an Inovativ as I did not want to spend the money for it - and also I've been mostly in studio/interior. I ended up on a number of exterior shoots in 2024, and my previous cart solutions with makeshift shelves left a ton to be desired. I started to look at options and for my purposes, the Inovativ seemed to fit the bill. I begrudgingly purchased it, wondering if I spent too much. When I received it in the mail, all doubts were erased. This is one of the smoothest rolling carts I've ever used. I have the 36, and it carries a good amount of gear as well - at least enough for the sized shoots I normally work on. If you're providing equipment to a shoot, need to transport gear around locations, this is the perfect tool. Your mileage may vary - larger shoots with more people and equipment would definitely require a larger cart.

This Voyager 36 EVO cart is big and heavy, and exactly what I was looking for. It allows me to carry my audio gear, tripods, c-stands, lighting, and other miscellaneous stuff in one trip from our van, and that was a huge factor in why I chose it. I had been looking at a bunch of options, including YaegerPro and some smaller/cheaper carts. What sold me is the combination of the quick deploy-ability, size, adjustable height for different cases, carrying capacity, professional look and reviews from other users. I don't plan to mount a monitor on this cart but am happy to have the option should I change my mind. It's very well made, the instructions to assemble are clear, and I hope the durability is there. Only time and use will tell. I'm excited to get it into the field and see how it handles in the real world.

Is the cart collapsible with the optional top drawer mounted?

Hello Jack. Yes, but with the following considerations; the drawer will be on the outside of the folded workstation and any items inside should be removed as they could get damaged from moving around. The workstation collapsed with drawers DOES NOT fit inside the optional travel case.
