Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.2 Aspherical Lens for Sony E
Key Features
  • E-Mount Lens/Full-Frame Format
  • Aperture Range: f/1.2 to f/22
  • Two Aspherical Elements
  • One Partial Dispersion Element
Updating a classic for today's imaging standards, this Nokton 50mm f/1.2 Aspherical from Voigtlander is a fast normal-length lens for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. Distinguished by its bright f/1.2 maximum aperture, this lens excels in low-light conditions and also offers enhanced control over depth of field. The advanced optical design incorporates a pair of aspherical elements and one partial dispersion elements, which, together, help to suppress both spherical and chromatic aberrations for greater sharpness, clarity, and color rendering. The lens's manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 1.5' away, and a Selective Aperture Control System allows you to de-click the manual aperture ring for smooth, silent exposure adjustment to suit filmmaking applications. Additionally, a 12-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

Will this lens work on the a6000?

Will this lens work on the a6000?
Asked by: Ivan
Yes, you can mount any of the lenses made for Sony’s full-frame 35mm mirrorless cameras on the ɑ6000, but because the APS-C sensor is smaller, it cannot use the entire original field of view. For any of these lenses, multiply the stated focal length by 1.5 — in this case, the 50mm lens will function as a 75mm.

An adapter like the Megadap ETZ21 Pro Sony E-Mount Lens to Nikon Z-Mount Autofocus Adapter, BH # MEETZ21PRO, that has electronic contacts will show a green focus confirmation box with the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.2 Aspherical Lens for Sony E.

It says it has a 0.833 magnification, what would qualify this as MACRO. Please confirm.
Asked by: André
The focusing distance on this lens would be 1.48' so it would not qualify as a macro lens, which would normally have an even shorter focusing distance.

This is a fully manual lens. So you will have to change the aperture your self. The electric contact points, transfer all Exif data between the camera and lens to permit full use of camera functions. Including focus magnification, image stabilization, and lens corrections.
