Now in its third version, the Nikon Z-mount Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95 III from Mitakon-Zhongyi is an exceptionally fast normal-length prime with enhanced flare resistance. Obviously distinguished by its f/0.95 maximum aperture, this lens excels in low-light situations and affords impressive control over depth of field. Its optical design incorporates one high refractive index element along with five ultra-low dispersion elements to produce well-corrected imagery void of spherical and chromatic aberrations. The lens's manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 1.6' away and an 11-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95 III Reviews
Best Bargain Ever
It is a very rare instance where I feel I got a better bargain photographically or otherwise. This lens is MUCH better than I anticipated it would be.
Wonderful & fun lens!
This lens is a manual lens, so focusing can be a little tricky, however pared with Sony's zebra focus & focus peaking, it isn't that bad. The results are definitely worth it! This is my favorite lens I own, it has so much character. The bokeh is sooo buttery smooth
softer image than expected.
No matter the focus the image is soft wide open. Much sharper at 1.8 and at that point I’d rather have autofocus and a native lens.
Excellent
Excellent I recommend it and for the price and quality.
Love the bokeh
Great quality lens. Very sharp when you nail the focus. A great lens to learn everything manually.
A unique lens for a special look.
This lens is a little soft at f/0.95 (but I knew that before purchasing it), especially at close distance, but it works quite well with portraits and at mid-distances, where it sharpens up a little. The 0.95 aperture does a great job of conveying a 3 dimensional look and the bokeh is very pleasant too. However, if you're into that digital, razor-edge sharpness, this lens is probably not for you. But if you're trying to emulate the gentle look of large format film, then I wouldn't hesitate to get this lens. And as others have stated, the build quality is excellent - well above what the price point would suggest.
Practically night vision when paired with A7S
Pros: Phenomenally capable Solid build Center sharpness is top-tier stopped down to 1.6 Quite compact for it's capability Dirt cheap compared to other f/1's Cons: No autofocus No exif data Soft wide open but could be a pro due to dreamy effect- a matter of preference
Beautiful! Best for Nikon thus far.
The lens offers everything I am looking for. Crisp, sharp and the range I was looking for and could not find with a solid metal base. I will use the lens for cinema as well as stills. What is additionally nice is the thread size. I am blessed to get filters easily to quell the 0.95 opening.
