I bought this 2 TB disk from Ninja V but with the ...
I bought this 2 TB disk from Ninja V but with the latest firmware 10.54 and a Sony A7s3 camera this disk works with errors, when watching a video, the disk turns off and there are still various errors. Atomos wrote that these errors happen only with their 2 TB disk. The question is, do I need to buy another smaller drive or will this error be fixed with firmware updates?
Atomos has inconsistent info on it's supported drives page. The downloadable PDF version indicates this drive can handle everything you throw at it, however, their HTML version says this drive will fail in the two of the more demanding scenarios. I have asked them to reconcile the inconsistencies. 2.5" SSD drives can be used with the Ninja V, and while it may stick out, one can find brands that handle sustained high data rates for cheaper. At this price one would hope to get fast/reliable 2-bit MLC memory vs. slower/volatile 3-bit TLC memory.

Yes, the Angelbird 1 TB AtomX SSDmini will work as recording media when using it with the Atomos Ninja. Furthermore, depending on the recording quality as well as the frame rate that you work with on the Ninja, the recording times could be over 5 hours when using Apple ProRes 422 at 4K 30p. When recording ProRes RAW, if your camera supports it, expect recording times of 1 hour if recording at 4K 60p.
To import recorded footage from the SSD to your computer, please consider an SSD reader:

Shooting in ProRes RAW HQ at 60p you will get approx. 35 minutes on 1TB.

No, the Black magic Pocket camera will not support the Angel bird AtomX Mini drive configuration you intend to work with. It is best to use approved USB-C Drives with the Black magic Pocket cameras. Two approved USB-C drives are the following models from Wise and Samsung:

We have not had an opportunity to test this. If it fits then it will work but we recommend using one of these options instead:

No you do not. This drive is already optimized for Atomos products. We recommend formatting it in the Ninja V.

How do I offload footage from the AtomX SSDmini? I thought I could use the card reader that came with my Atomos Shogun Inferno, but it's not working.
The Atomos Powered Docking Station with USB 3.1 Gen 1 & 2.0 should work well to offload these cards, BH #ATOMDCK003.
