Bought to allow for the long Arca-Swiss clamping lever on my Acratech GXP ballhead to clear my tripod's flat yoke plate when the ballhead is in the gimbal position. Four stars as the bottom 3/8-16 threaded hole was too shallow for tripod's mounting screw and I had to tap the threads a bit deeper (Plenty of room to do so.). Otherwise it would not sit fully on the plate and spin.

Regarding the Acratech Tripod Head Riser, 2" and whether there is a set screw to secure the ball head to the top of the adapter, there is no known set screw. It is our opinion that a good twist will hold it in place for as long as you want it.

1. Will this fit properly and securely on gitzo traveler kit gt1545T+gh1382tqd?
2. Can I stack 2 of these units one on top of the other securely with no mechanical slop or wobbel-if stacked, should they be locktited (blue)..

The Acratech Tripod Head Riser, 2" has a 60mm diameter so it woudl hang over the edge of the the Gitzo GT1545T which has a 37mm diameter. Stacking 2 of the risers is physically possible but as a tripod head is raised higher by either a column or a riser, it increases the risk of shaking especially with long lenses.
