New daily lens.
Short of anything super far away this is the best lens for Panasonic MFT in my opinion. This has not come off since I got it. If you shoot in Panasonic MFT's you will love this!
It wasn't love at first sight.
I rented this lens once and it wasn't love at first sight. I thought the focal range was good but what the big deal was the constant and fast aperture. I shoot many events and with most m43 wide zooms, you start at f/2.8. You can make that work. But you just have to work that much harder to get that shot. Initially, I thought it was 'a very good lens' and I needed it. But it wasn't love at first sight. So I bought it. And I used it. And the less it would come off my camera. I later discovered: it's really a wide angle zoom Nocticron. I started pushing it. The colors and detail you can get out of the lens is fantastic. I could crop in 100% and still keep the image quality intact. It's a super street photography lens despite its size. Amazingly lightweight for how big it is. I can carry it all day. If you shoot events, landscapes and street, it's basically a must have lens. It's expensive for sure. But it's also a lens you can keep for 10 years or more. Easy. The only question is how many megapixels can it resolve for any future m43 sensors. Considering that I can crop in 100% and the image holds, I would think quite a bit. At least 50MP I would think. And I don't see that happen with m43 anytime soon. One of the best lens I've ever owned. She's a keeper.

I'm speechless. Literally. I'm using this with the GH5 MII, and the image quality is stellar. F1.7! And out of a zoom lens! It's great at the zoom lengths and it's awesome!
Very well made, sharp from f1.7 down. Very useful zoom range. If you shoot video, the step-less aperture control will be useful. Became my EDC for the G9 the day it arrived and the lens has not been off the camera since it arrived.
A pocket full of primes in one package
This really is a marvelous lens. Sharpness is very good edge to edge at any focal length when at f1.7, with 10mm (20mm equiv.) being a tad softer than the other focal lengths. Stopped down sharpness is excellent by f2.8 and uniformly stupendous at f4-f5.6. Color and contrast are also excellent. I don't do video so I leave the stepless aperture ring parked in A and use the camera dial for aperture selection. Zoom, focus and aperture rings all work smoothly and have a quality feel, as they should on lens of this price. Overall it feels and looks very well built. Manual focus is fast and accurate whether using the focus clutch or camera selected manual focus. Full focus range is covered by 1/4 to 1/3 of a turn of the dial. This is a relatively large lens and is not light although it doesn't feel as heavy as it looks and I really have no problem carrying it for extended periods. I use it on my G9 which has a nice large grip and excellent ergonomics so the 10-25 fits it very nicely. I don't like things hanging from my neck, so I always use a wrist strap and bringing the G9 and 10-25 to my eye one-handed is easy. Owning this lens is really like having a fast prime for every focal length from 10-25mm (20-50mm full frame equivalent) and without giving up the sharpness you expect from a higher end prime. I am very pleased with it.

My second 10-25! Better results than Full Frame.
I have used Canon EF 24-70f4, Sigma 24-70f2.8, Sony 16-35GM, 85GM, and a bunch of other lenses and the majority of M43 lenses. This one is the best in terms of overall usability and image quality. You can really get a Leica look. Contrast is incredible while bokeh is smooth with Leica style bokeh balls. Sun stars are beautiful at F8. The focal range fits me like a glove for doing adventure photography and documentary filmmaking. I shot a documentary almost entirely on this lens and it has been selected in several good film festivals. Why getting a second one? I dropped the lens in a cave one year ago, sent to repair 3 times but still not satisfied with the results. This time with higher budget, I considered switching to Sony A1, Nikon Z9, Canon R5c, Panasonic S5 so I researched their lens offerings. Maybe some Canon RF or Nikon Z lenses which I haven't used might be better, but this lens blew Sigma 24-70f2.8 out of the water. Also, RF and Z lenses are a lot more expensive and I cannot get the 20-50mm range. In addition, this lens meets all the requirements of a cinema lens, and you have an everything-matched 25-50 to form a set. This lens is the reason I switched from M43 to M43. Get it and you will never care about gear reviews anymore.
