What is the width and depth dimensions of one of ...
What is the width and depth dimensions of one of the feet of the stand? I want to use a bigger rubber air caster wheel. What size does the channel for the caster need to be? Can I use any caster with a 1” channel?
The Matthews Monitor Stand II is designed for use with proprietary Matthews casters only; the legs will not work with standard casters that use a channel or socket to insert the leg.

How is this any better than a C-stand with a 20" ...
How is this any better than a C-stand with a 20" riser? The C-stand is cheaper, more versatile (comes with an arm). I'd like to know why this would be better specifically for monitoring.
This stand folds up to more compact dimensions, has a higher weight capacity, is able to accept multiple wheel options including the amazing all-terrain Big F'ing Wheels and it looks phenomenal in black and red (distinguishing it from other stands on set).
That being said, neither is better, it comes down to what is right for the user, both are wonderful options.

The unit I own is all sold as one piece. The 5/8's pin is an integral of the stand. You might be able to obtain individual parts from Matthews through B&H.

Can the centre column be released and rest on the ground, making the stand go even lower than 29 inches?
29" is the minimum height achievable, this is the measurement once the bottom tube is resting on the ground.
