Make full use of your Canon EF-mount lenses on your Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera with this EF-M2 II Mount Adapter from Viltrox. This intelligent adapter features gold-plated electronic contacts to maintain autofocus, auto-exposure, and image stabilization capabilities, as well as transfer Exif data and enable aperture adjustment from the camera body. Complementing the electronic design, this adapter is also characterized by its inclusion of a 0.71x-magnification focal reducer, which helps to offset much of the crop factor of Micro Four Thirds cameras while also concentrating the light in order to increase the effective aperture by one stop. Viltrox EF-M2 II Reviews
Great for my use
A friend has the Metabones speed booster. It's a little nicer, but comparing images at 4K, Neither of us could see any difference, including corner sharpness or vignetting. I'm not using AF, so I can't say how well that works, but using this with a BMPCC 4K and the sigma 18-35 1.8 art lens it works well, or at least, the one I received does. Other folks have had issues with inability to focus to infinity (which is fixable) and fit (probably not fixable?) But the unit I received has been fine for me out of the box. I can focus beyond infinity when wide open, so I could probably adjust the adapter to fix that and gain a little close focus, but I haven't felt the need to be a half inch closer yet, and so far focusing past infinity hasn't been an issue for me.
Perfect Match
Perfect match for my BMMCC G2 w/ Rokinon cine lenses, no issues with fit at all. You will need to adjust the lens element for proper focus for your particular lens. Very good budget option for a speed booster !!
