The compact design of the clamp allows Befree tripod legs to fold inward seamlessly against the clamp without disturbance, and the screw knob locking mechanism firmly keeps the plate in place. Manfrotto recommends that you remove safety stops on the plate that will be in use so it lays flat inside the assembly. The bull's-eye bubble level located to the side of the clamp ensures your horizons are straight.

Manfrotto makes great tripods, but use a proprietary locking system. I bought this to convert mine over to Arca Swiss which I much prefer.

Many accessories come with Arca Swiss attachment points so I wish that Manfrotto and Bogen came with adapters. That being said, this works very well.
