The SHAPE Cage with Swivel Rod Clamp and 6" 15mm Rod for Atomos Shinobi Monitor enables mounting your Shinobi cage onto a camera support rig with 15mm rods. The formfitting, CNC-machined aluminum cage is designed to protect your Shinobi monitor while providing increased mounting options without impinging on any of the functionality. Your monitor fits securely into the cage and is held in place with the two included 1/4"-20 mounting screws. The cage incorporates two cold shoes on the top, allowing you to mount accessories.
Around the edge of the cage, on the top and sides, are eight 1/4"-20 threaded accessory mounting holes with ARRI anti-twist divots to help hold accessories in place. In addition, the cage features two 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes on top and two additional 3/8"-16 threaded holes with ARRI anti-twist divots on the rear panel. An integrated HDMI clamp holds your cable fast to the unit. The cage is machined to accept the original Ninja V sun hood.

15mm LW Clamp for Top Handle
The clamp is made of CNC-machined aluminum and can be attached to the square mounting socket on the rear of the cage. It features a spring-loaded locking lever that lets you adjust and secure the included rod to the cage.
DSLR Swivel 15mm Rod Clamp
The clamp allows you to connect two 15mm rods and adjust the angle at which they intersect. When used with the included 6"-long 15mm rod and the 15mm LW Clamp, this setup allows you to mount your Shinobi cage onto a 15mm rod-based camera rig, providing both articulation and rotation and allowing you to fine-tune the position of your monitor.
15mm Aluminum Rod
The 6" rod is used to bridge the two included clamps, and it supports your Shinobi cage. It is hollow, non-threaded, and coated with a clear finish.
Shinobi Monitor
Please note that the included cage is specifically designed to mount on the Shinobi monitor, and it does this without interfering with any of the functionality of the monitor while providing protection from the rigors of the production day. The Shinobi monitor is not included and must be sourced separately.

Finally a solution to use my monitor on the left side of my rig so i can frame withsomething else than an expensive viewfinder. This neat little accessory willhold my monitor in place. The cage also has a beautiful finish! Hurray!

Shape does say that the SHAPE Cage with Swivel Rod Clamp and 6" 15 mm Rod for Atomos Shinobi Monitor is compatible with the original Atomos sun hood, which is the model below. It does not work with Atomos B&H # ATOMSUN009.
