[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good display. Probably made even better by avoiding the debacle that is Thinq though having a smart home integration strategy for the display is what pushes my experience with it from Excellent to Good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am delighted with this purchase as it is everything the marketing material says it is. The image quality elicited from the monitor is clear, precise, responsive, and vibrant. I curve screen allows me to run multiple applications simultaneously.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been thinking about an ultrawide monitor for a while, I wasn't sure if I'd like an ultrawide as I previously was using an 32" LED TV which I thought was big enough. I looked at reviews in general and decided a 38" ultrawide was one I'd try the 49" ones just seemed like they would be too wide, so I got this one (LG 38GL950G-B 38" ultrawide). All the games I own run fast and smooth on it. I love it. Things to note: For some reason you can't get to the BIOS when using the Display Port cable it doesn't display anything until it gets to the windows log in. Fortunately if you use the HDMI cable instead you can get to the BIOS. Switch back to the Display Port when you are done messing with the BIOS as you miss out on some features if you use HDMI. To make my games use the full monitor I changed the settings in Nvida Geforce Experience. To do this find your game, click on Details button, then click on the wrench and set the resolution to 3840x1600, click Apply. Just mentioning it as some games don't show the resolution in their options, but they will work using the settings I've described. The stand is substantial and I tried to capture in the photo that you can actually slide paper freely under the stand due to the stand been on rubber feet, which is kind of useful if you want a keyboard cheat sheet on your desk and you like the monitor up close when gaming.

Great screen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my old 28" "all-in-one" curved computer and screen, and the LG 38" 21:9 curved screen surpassed my wildest expectations. It runs high-end game software without any problems, and the screen space is humungous. I am very happy with this product.

38" is the sweet spot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a 34" and a 49" and I was unhappy with both. The 38" is where it's at! Not to mention the vertical resolution of 1600 is amazing. The software bundled does not work. Many people have the same issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a monitor that had a G-sync module and was rated highly. After much research I came across the lg 38gl950g-b. It was exactly what I was looking for. It was easy to use, and presented a very clean and crisp image and letters. In addition, I have noticed no motion blur or ghosting and the latency is extremely low. It is an absolute pleasure using every day and I love using it while gaming. The quality that went into this monitor, assures me that I will be using it for a very long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sorry I don't recommend this monitor because after the first 6 months 8 vertical lines appeared on right hand side of the screen and never went away. Its obvious to me it is a defective LCD panel and I am a electronics technician with 35 years of experience

Is this monitor 4k? What would be best settings i want hdr i have rtx 2080ti
Asked by: Juan Pablo
This monitor has a resolution of 3840 x 1600 and it supports HDR. Your GPU supports this resolution as well. Once you connect your computer to the monitor, the computer should automatically support and display this resolution. If not, you can go to the Display settings and select the recommended settings.

Will a 1080ti be able to run games on high to ultra settings on this display?
Asked by: Hamad
I have an LG monitor this exact same size that runs 3840x1600 (lg 38uc99-w) it's amazing. It's only 75hz but I'm able to reach that with a GTX 1080 (not Ti) in some games. Overwatch is one of the few I actually play. I would say that in general, I can play most AAA games but it's rare I can get much over 70-80 fps without dropping some of the settings a little at least. I would also add, a higher refreshrate isn't a complete waste if you're not pushing that same FPS, you still get a more "recent" frame with a higher refresh rate on average. So even though you're not using all the HZ your screen can provide, the image you see is still a little more up to date than a lower refresh rate screen would provide. Also, the GSYNC will be great for avoiding tearing on Nvidia. Point is, your 1080 Ti will be fine but not "the best" however this is a monitor you could grow into. I normally keep my monitors for a very very long time when compared to my desktops so it really depends on what your plans are. Also, make sure your card supports DP 1.4 and you have a cable that also supports that. Aside from gaming, IMO a high refresh rate is amazing on just web browsing or working with text. It's so smooth, I love it. Higher refresh rates are amazing. I'm not sure if it will matter much past 170 or 240 TBH but the difference between 60 and 90 is striking, and the difference between 60 and 144 is amazing EVEN if you're running at an FPS closer to 60. This thing is expensive AF though, so you have to decide if that's worth it for you.

Does this monitor have some sort of screen peel off affixed to it like a sticky peel off, or is it an anti-glare screen that's unremovable, and it's supposed to be like that?
Asked by: The OG
It's an anti-glare screen, so it should look like that. If there isn't an obvious piece of plastic to remove then it's just the anti glare coating.

It depends on the game and the settings. From various benchmarks on the web the 2080Ti can do around 80fps with this size of resolution and AAA games on ultra.

What graphics card can achieve at least 120hz on medium high settings with 3840x1600?

To be honest, none yet. My 2080ti gets average 100fps in most games. The 3000 series will be the first GPU that will take this monitor over 100hz average FPS.

Is there a 16:9 option in the Nvidia Control Panel when using this monitor?
Asked by: Sean
Yes, you can adjust it in the monitor settings or through the NVIDIA Control panel but they are not labeled 16:9, they are shown as resolutions (2560 x 1440/1920 x 1080) you will need to choose a resolution like 2560 x 1600 for the best results which is 16:10.
