SmallRig BUC2334 Overview

The Shoe Mount Relocation Adapter from SmallRig provides two shoe mounts for your Sony Alpha a6500, a6400, a6300, or a6100 camera while maintaining access to the camera's original hot shoe. Use this mount to attach a mic, light, or other accessory to your camera.

This aluminum frame component attaches to your camera's strap mounts and incorporates both slots for attaching a neck strap and threads for storing its M2.5 screws when they are not in use.

Must Have Accessory For Sony Users

I find that Tools such as this make it much simpler to ADD other accessories to your camera, such as Light sources or using a different type of Audio source other then say a shotgun Mic. What I love about THIS Adapter is that you have to remove the clips on the side of the camera (a good thing) in order to screw this in using said place where those clips where located. I permanently keep this attached to my a6400 so that I can do Said Function, definitely must have for users of the a6000 line-up.

I absolutely love this double cold shoe mount. This simple rig allows me to use my flip up screen, LED, and Deity shotgun mic. Ultra small, light and lean look with flawless function. Yes please!

This is so minimal on the camera and add no weight. Looking at the camera from the back, this SmallRig relocation allows me to mount my Rode Wireless GO on the left side while still being able to open the mic door for the a6400. On the right cold shoe I can mount my light. This relocation adapter, unlike previous one, is that I can still use the Sony camera hotshoe without removing the relocation adapter. Excellent design and well worth it... high recommended.

With this rig I added two two cold shoes to my a6100, for a mic and video light. Another added benefit is that I can still use the a6100 hot shoe for my flash.

When mounted, does this leave a place to attach a wrist or neck strap on a 6400?

No, SmallRig Shoe Mount Relocation Adapter attaches to the camera strap loop with the M2.5 screws included with the adapter. The only option to attach a wrist strap will be through the camera 1/4-20 threads.

At this moment the SmallRig Shoe Mount Relocation Adapter for Sony a6500/a6400/a6300/a6100 Cameras will only work with the camera models listed. The body of the Sony A6700 is slightly different in size so cages and cage accessories made for older camera models in this line may not work.
