I have been a video producer for over 30 years and I have worked with a lot of microphones. RODE are the best. I get what I call that Hollywood sound, nice, tight, clean, professional audio. Always going to be a fan of RODE. Oh, the LAV delivers too.

Great build quality, definitely feels like it can withstand a slight beating and some fumbling around in your bag. Sounds great when paired with the wireless Filmmaker kit or wired into an external recorder. The bag that comes with it for storage is handy as well so you don't have a ton of these just laying around. Exactly what I expected from Rode!

First of all the service at BH is fantastic, When you talk to a specialist in the store they take the time to take a minute to ask you if you’re healthy feels like family. When we go down to business they know what they are talking about and if they don’t have the answer they search it and they come back to you. I live in Montreal I don’t hesitate to pay in US to have that family service. for the product I got, Rode link is perfect, Thank you Eric

Works Great...While It Lasts

I have purchased around 6 of these over the last 4 years and gotten 2 replaced via warranty. I only ever use two at a time, so that means I've had to replace one every 6 months on average. The sound quality is fantastic; it's so good that I've recorded voiceovers with them and in a studio environment the quality was indistinguishable from a condenser mic, at least to the naked ear. I have hidden them under clothes, jackets, t-shirts, and dresses and they are small enough to make it easy to get good results, and the audio still sounds amazing. Like any lav, you'll get the best results in post if you mix with a boom mic, but if I had to choose only one or the other, I would choose these lavs over any boom mic 100% of the time. I use them with the RodeLink wireless transmitter, and I'm not sure whether they are compatible with any other boxes.

Asked by: Maeve
You cannot without an adapter. You need to change the TRS to TRRS. This is the adapter BH #ROSC4 which can be found on the B&H website. Or you could just get a Rode smart Lav and plug it right into your phone if you like, this is the part number for the Rode smart Lav B&H # ROSMARTLAVP.

You can try but it's likely it will not work. As the locking collar may stop the pin from making contact.
