The fluid-style drag system provides 360° pan and ±90° tilt motion using a built-in spring-loaded counterbalance, and it features individual pan and tilt locks. A removable pan handle is also included to help create smooth, steady pan and tilt shots.
The camera mounts onto the 501-type quick release plate using its captive 1/4"-20 mounting screw, making it easy to easily transfer the camera onto a variety of compatible mounts. The flat base of the head measures 43mm in diameter and features a 3/8"-16 tripod mounting thread to fit most tripods, or you can mount it onto a 1/4"-20 screw using the included 1/4"-20 bushing. To keep your pans and tilts aligned with the horizon, a bubble level is integrated into the head.
