The flat storage capabilities of this stand from Phottix are made possible by their special Fast Assembly Mortise Module (FAMM) system. If one were to procure a set of multiple Padat 300s, simply click them into one another to more efficiently store the stands in their proper place. Should there be an operator error that causes accidental slips or just to assist with the lowering of loads on the heavier end of the Padat 300's capacity, the four individual risers that compose the stand's center column are air-cushioned for ease and safety.
