We use Sonos beam with Samsung TV. Have two older, wired speakers we'd like to add as surrounds. Will this Port create that connection? Is an amp/receiver needed to power the speakers?
Asked by: Yee-Ping
You would need the Sonos amp for your particular set up since your speakers require power.

Can I use the sonos Port to replace my 4 yr old ...

Can I use the sonos Port to replace my 4 yr old Russound system? my hone has 8 zones so I was wondering If i need a Port for each zone.
Asked by: Dave
Yes you will be able to connect the Sonos Port to your Russound system. You just need to have a stereo pair of inputs and outputs on your sound system. You do not need a Sonos Port for each zone. Once you have 1 Sonos Port connected, you will be able to output audio from your Russound system into the Sonos Port and wireless to other Sonos speakers in the house. Or you can output streaming audio content from the Sonos port into your Russound system and therefore into your existing zones.
