Thailand. The lens is superb. Because of the weight and 82mm filter size I have no desire to purchase the new 14-24mm f2.8 version. Plus, this lens goes to 30mm, vs. 24 for the new one.

Will this accept 3 Kase Revolution 82mm mag filters without vignetting? Hate to go bigger if not needed!
So, to answer my own question...With regard to vignetting with Kase Revolution Magnetic filters- which are very thin.
1 filter will cause no vignetting down to 14mm. 2 filters vignette at 14mm, usable passed 15 and is totally gone at 16mm. 3 filters vignette at 16mm, gone by 18mm. 95mm filters with 82-95 step up ring better if using multiple filters often.

Yes, it will work with the Z50 and yes the focal length would be 21-45mm.

Has anyone used this lens for portaits or other situations where you would care about bokeh? I know its mostly a landscape lens, but thinking of getting a 2x adapter and then using it for portraits too.

i'd say yes. room light and darker, no problem. if ur trying to decide between this version and newer fstop version, id take f/4. least that is what i got from the first comparison reviews. take take me as an authority, but i bet you will like the lens.

I know this is a little slow for astro, but has anyone used this for night photography? Does this lens have any Coma issues wide open?
This lens is a great candidate for astro photography as it does have low coma. Aperture 4 is a good balance between quality in low light and also having greater depth of field.
