Audio-Technica Consumer ATR3350XIS Reviews
The mic works, but the cord lengths are a bit problematic
The mic sounds great; however, the LONG cord length makes it a challenge when using connected to an on-talent recorder. There is a battery module in-line. That module has a clip, but the clip is EXTREMELY hard to connect to anything because it is so tight. And the length of cord from the battery module to the mic head is quite long (longer than anyone's upper body that I could imagine), that leaves a lot of cable to get 'caught' and pulled on by the talent, causing the mic to be pulled off (if they are animated in any way). Also, the cord from the battery module to the plug is MILES long. We've never taken it out of its initial wrap, bu the cable must be at least 10' long. Probably good for some specific setting, but for use on-talent, we probably would not purchase this again - just because of the long cable length. But B&H got it to us with very short notice and the mic does have a great sound.
Great Little Microphone
Bought this specifically for web-based tele-conference on a Mac Book Pro. It works wonderfully!! The sound is loud and clear. I immediately bought a second one to connect to the ATEM Mini Pro and record; wonderful, just wonderful. The cable is super long, which for me is not necessary, and it has its own amplifier, which boosts sound and probably quality. Very happy with this finding!!
Excellent Mic
Not being a professional, I leaned on advice from B&H for my microphone needs. The ATR3350XiS filled met and exceeded my expectations. The cord length was a bonus, as I did not have to purchase an extension cord. The audio quality was perfect for my needs.
Nice Mic, good brand, annoying windscreen
AT sound quality certainly better than my prior cheapo lav mic. Took a star away for the lack of an light indicating on/off, although I know it was not listed it would be a big help and is not a feature I will overlook in my next mic and also for the silly foam windscreen, it does not have much real estate to hang onto and it falls off constantly, you will lose it
Solid mic for video streaming & webinars
Good sound quality from an inexpensive mic. In the box is short TRRS adapter with separate Mic & Headphone jacks. Mic has very long cord. This is good pairing with Audio-Technica ATH-E40 In-ear monitors for very clean professional look. [1950's special needs headgear with mic intruding on camera is just outdated ugly] I'm on-air business talk radio host with video simulcast using ATEM mini Pro. We have not experienced the of foam windscreen falling off as mentioned in some review, but I would recommend buying extras. The Auray WLF-OLM10-2 Foam Windscreens for Polsen OLM-10 & OLM-20 Lavalier Microphone (2-Pack) is good choice. Semper fidelis, Dave
Easy to use
This has become so helpful for self tapes, and it is so easy to use!
Amazing quality and even more amazing value
I needed a lav mic for auditions and interviews, but didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars for a small step up in quality. Glad I tried this first. The quality is amazing for the price making it one of the best value electronics I own. Huge step up in vocal audio quality compared to shotgun mics or onboard mics. I would have liked better cable management (because it's so long, which is a good thing), but so far it doesn't seem like the cable will wear out. Highly highly recommend this mic
Track my sound
High quality, lite weight, durable, sounds excellent. A very good buy!
