The BP-8 Bridge Plate Kit from ARRI is designed to both balance your camera rig and support 19mm rod-based accessories. This kit consists of the BP-8 sled, a 12" cutout dovetail plate, and a 17" pair of 19mm support rods. Directly compatible with select ARRI cameras, it can be paired with a dedicated adapter for use with other ARRI and many third-party cameras.
The Bridge Plate BP-8 from ARRI interfaces with a bottom dovetail plate to balance your camera as the weight of the rig is changed (dovetail not included). The BP-8 provides 19mm rod support for mounting a lens support and/or accessories onto select ARRI and third-party cameras.
This bridge plate includes 3/8"-16 threaded studs and locating pins for mounting on your camera.

This updated dovetail offers a medium travel range suitable for prime lenses, and it sports several features that distinguish it from earlier models.
Safety release buttons are located both at the front and back of the dovetail. The front release is especially helpful when using accessories like lens motors that may hang below the level of the baseplate, preventing an easy backward slide off the dovetail. Two removable stopper screws provide additional security when desired and can be parked on the plate when not in use.
Constructed of a robust aluminum alloy, this dovetail has built-in 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 threads for mounting on a tripod or quick release plate.
