Watson MI-VM Overview

Compatible D-Tap adapter cables are available and sold separately, based on your device. This handy plate features a screw clamp mount that can be secured to any tube or rail up to 1.4" (35mm), including most light stand columns, tripod legs, and boom arms.

Micro V-mount batteries provide a more portable solution than standard-sized ones, and this plate allows you to make use of them across various applications by simply incorporating the appropriate cable required by your device or accessory. Your battery is conveniently released at the push of a quick release button provided on the top corner.

Note:
Third-party micro V-mount batteries larger than 3.9 x 4" (W x H) might limit the functionality of this plate due to size discrepancies.

Even on a C-Stand pole this will fit

I had a similar V-Mount Clamp like this but it’s designed for a full V-Mount size battery. It works with the Micro V’s but it was a bit clunky when attaching these Micro V Mount batteries. Now with this little Clamp it’s so much easier, lighter, neater and it takes almost no space on my stand or any pole I want to hook it up to. Small space is important since I need clearance when riding or collapsing the poles, so this tiny clamp system doesn’t get in the way. It’s a must have. I didn’t show it on a C-Stand on the uploaded pictures pictures but if that’s what you plan to do, it’s not a problem. Anything up to 1 1/4” think and maybe slightly thicker, this clamp will grab. They also make a Rod clamp version on this to mount on your camera rig rid system or onto some tripod legs on the skinny parts if you want to check it out. This item has protective foam around all parts where it touches your pole, plus the other thread end part that makes contact with the pole is made of rubber, also spins freely from the actual threads when screwing it in, meaning, it won’t get stuck or scratch anything because I have some really nice C Stands and regular stands that I want to keep them looking new. You don’t need to over tighten. Just tighten snuggly and that’s enough and it will stay there. ANY FULL SIZE V MOUNT battery will fit on this, not just Micro V Mount. With that added, it makes this clamp a very useful tool for all kinds of things to clamp to. And of course, it features D-Tap and will support the same 8 amp load the Watson Micro V Mount battery does without interfering with anything. These accessories are essential to have especially when you need more versatility mounting these batteries other than just on your rig using the regular mounting ports. Very happy with mine. I got this one as a sample but since I have more than one micro v mount battery, it looks like I have to put two more of these in the BH shopping cart.
