Nikon LC-46B Reviews
A Milestone for Humanity
This lens cap (specifically the Nikon LC-46B 46mm Snap-On Front Lens Cap) is the greatest invention since sliced bread. Not only does it shield my lens from the unknown horrors that live inside my backpack but it says "Nikkor" on its front face -- guaranteeing the utmost street cred from coast-to-coast. Don't wait, this Nikon LC-46B 46mm Snap-On Front Lens Cap will swag your life!
Good cap
After having lost my lens cap, needing one as soon as possible, I ordered one from Amazon, with free overnight delivery. It wasn't Nikon-branded, but looked identical, and as previously mentioned, time was of the essence. It was delivered bright and early the next morning, but to my dismay, although it fit the lens well enough, there were a few things that weren't quite right. The biggest issue was that the parts meant to be pinched to put it on and take it off were slightly sloped inwards, so it was hard to get a grip on it. The work-around was to pinch the outside of the cap, which did what I needed it to do, but just didn't feel right. I immediately got on the B&H website, which had the Nikon-branded part (priced at less than half of what it was on Amazon), and ordered this part. It fits perfectly and does exactly what it should. I'll keep the other one on hand in case of emergency, but this cap is much better than the seemingly identical unbranded one. The next time I place an order with B&H, I will add a few of these in various sizes, just in case...
